Hello, I’m Jax! An award winning event caterer. My sister company Jax’s Cakes ‘N’ Bakes was founded in January 2014. Then in 2017, when I moved into Shebbear I expanded in 2018 to offer event catering as well. In 2023 as the catering began to grow I decided to split my business, which is when Jax’s Event Catering evolved. Your food is all prepared and cooked in my professional kitchen.

What do I offer?

My delicious menus are created with high quality, fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible. Tempting you with a selection of delicious hearty meals from a traditional roast to afternoon teas. As well as this everything will be prepared fresh within a few days of your event. As my aim is to create food that not only looks great but tastes great too!
I am very lucky that I get to travel across Devon and North Cornwall to some beautiful wedding venues. Below are a few of the stunning venues where I have worked. As well as this I can also catering marquees and source the equipment required to do so.

I love to chat with my clients to discuss your requirements. I offer tasters & consultation where we can chat through menu options & how everything will run or if you are not local I can do zoom consultations.

There are lots of important reasons, however I believe the most important ones are my attention to detail & personal touch. Right from the first point of contact, you will speak with me. We will get to know each other, and I help you plan your menu using my extensive knowledge gained over the years. As well as this I have had the pleasure of working with lots of other brilliant suppliers if you need any recommendations. This is especially helpful if you are not local to the area.

My team and I are here to make your day run seamlessly. All my team are properly trained & have years of experience to ensure you have the best service. Specialising in weddings, we can help with setting up welcome drinks right through to the champagne for the speeches if you have opted for a DIY wedding.
